Naturalists can earn money to share their opinions

The O*NET Data Collection Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, is seeking the input of expert park naturalists, defined as those who "plan, develop, and conduct programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features of national, state, or local parks." Experts who are selected and agree to participate will receive a $40 VISA gift code and an oak-framed Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Department of Labor.

As the nation’s most comprehensive source of occupational data, O*NET is a free resource for millions of job seekers, employers, veterans, educators, and students. Learn more here.

For O*NET data collection purposes, occupational experts are currently working in the field, have five or more years of experience with an occupation, and are based in the United States. Occupational experts will be asked to complete O*NET questionnaires to provide information on the occupation. Their contribution to this program will ensure that the occupational information provided in the O*NET database is current and accurate. Any information provided will be kept strictly private.

If you meet these criteria and are interested in participating, please contact Constance Bite at RTI International, the O*NET data collection contractor, at cbite@onet.rti.org or (877) 233-7348, extension 965. Please provide the following: Full name, company name and title, daytime phone number, email address, and mailing address. Mention “ANPR” in your email or phone call.

A random sample of experts responding to this request will be invited to complete a set of questionnaires. We encourage you to help keep information about your profession accurate and current for the benefit of our colleagues and the nation.
